Question: hello, I have a question about the "International Travel Health Insurance". I am doing sport like paragliding and skiing. Is it covered in the Travel Health Insurance during my trips? I have a standart medical and accident insurance provided by my employe. currently I am resident in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Thanks for your information. Pascal Lüde Answer:International travel insurance from IHI-BUPA will provide you with coverage for a number of activities with the provision that you are not undertaking the sports on a professional basis. This means that, typically, you are free to go paragliding and skiing as long as you are not doing so professionally. The only provision with this coverage applies to motor sports and coverage is excluded if you; active participation in any motor show, race or competition. BUPA-IHI travel plans provide you with global coverage and will allow you travel anywhere in the world while feeling secure that you have the coverage you need. Travel plans are designed to provide you with short term medical insurance while you are outside of your home nation. Plans can be purchased on an annual or single trip basis and will cover you regardless of your travel itinerary. It is important to note, however, that while an IHI annual travel plan will provide protection year round, it will only do so as long as each trip you take is a total of 30 days or less in duration.
