Index of Questions

Question: Is a kidney transplant considered Chronic? Is it possible to have a kidney transplant patient covered by your company?

Answer:

In most cases Kidney diseases are considered to be chronic. If the disease has been diagnosed before entering a plan then it is also deemed to be pre-existing. Generally it is not possible to provide coverage to individuals who have received a kidney transplant or whose names are currently on a transplant list. However, if a policyholder is diagnosed with kidney disease while on an international health insurance plan then treatment and transplant costs would be covered.
