Do your plans cover infertility treatment

IVF coverage can only be purchased as part of an out-patient plan. It is important to be aware IVF benefits will have an 18 month waiting period attached to coverage. This means that you must wait 18 months from the start of the plan before you can claim for infertility treatments.

With an infertility treatment benefit you are limited to four IVF attempts in your lifetime. These four attempts include any IVF treatments that have been attempted prior to the commencement of your policy. The financial limit for each IVF treatment is ₤2,000 or USD $3,750.  Your policy along with an infertility benefit will cover the delivery, maternity and new born coverage costs for 1 child. If you should have more than 1 child then the policy will not provide cover for the delivery. In addition to this the plan will only provide a newborn coverage benefit for more than 1 for the first 3 months of life, the children will be covered up to a ₤20,000 or USD$37,500 limit. After the first 3 months of life the parents must make an application for continuing coverage.
