Can you provide short term health insurance?

Index of Questions

Question: I would like health insurance for 6 months, when I shall be travelling in spain , france and italy, staying two ro three months, or a few days at a time in each. During this time I shall not have a residential address or a country of residence. I am French resident now, nationality Uk and expect to return to the UK at the end of the 6 months. Does my status as not resident anywhere make this impossible?

Answer:

We can provide international travel health insurance that will protect you for short trips overseas. With the exceptions of some major war zones, international travel health insurance plans will provide you with coverage anywhere in the world. The short term health insurance plans that we offer are provided by BUPA-IHI and will afford you the highest levels of coverage available. Short term plans that we offer will provide you with coverage for up to a year, and the plan duration is always tailored to exactly meet the length of your trip, this gives you the peace of mind that throughout your travels you will have the specific protection that you require.

Travel plans will allow you coverage for hospitalization, out-patient treatments, prescribed medications, emergency evacuation and repatriation cover, and emergency dental treatment. These plans will cover you from the time you leave your home country until the time that you return. The policies also operate on a worldwide basis so that you have the freedom to travel where and when you choose without having to worry about being outside of the coverage area.

In regards to the options that you have for the length of the plan, you will be offered two choices. The first choice is for an annual plan; annual travel plans will provide year round protection for as many trips as you may take with the provision that no single journey be longer than 30 days in duration, this may not be applicable in your situation. The second option is for a single trip plan that will cover you for as many days as you are out of your home country with the provision that no single trip is longer than a year in length.

With a single trip plan you decide how long you will be traveling for and customize the length of coverage accordingly. International travel health insurance plans will always calculate their premiums based on your age, the length of the trip, and a flat rate fee. This keeps the costs lower than with an annual health insurance policy as the plan only lasts as long as you are traveling.

Hi, My mom will be coming from north africa to visit me in the USA and stay for acouple of weeks. Recently she has been having a heavy hand and legs feeling. She has been prescribed a medication that is usualy prescribed for patients with mild parkinson's. I would like to get some second opinion and test(scans) performed on her in the USA. I don't think that she has parkinson's and I would like to confirn this in a center/hospital that I trust. My mom has an inssurance coverage with mutuelle Maroc, which is a partner with SwissLife and AXA. I wonder if she can get an international coverage with your company that will covers specialist evaluation, MRI, and oether scans if necessary. Thank you
