Can you provide health insurance if I am already pregnant

Index of Questions

Question: Before I managed to obtain health insurance I discovered that I was 7 weeks pregnant. I have heard that many insurance companies will not cover me if I am already pregnant, are your plans like that? Would I be able to obtain coverage through you? Can you understand that I had nothing to do with it, it just happened?

Answer:

We can provide health insurance if you are already pregnant. However, the insurance will usually have a minimum 10 month waiting period attached to the maternity cover. This means that you will have to wait 10 months before you can claim for any maternity related treatments.

However, we can offer plans that will offer coverage for newborn infants after a minimum waiting period of 6 months. This means that your newborn child will be assured of comprehensive medical protection should they be born with any medical issues. Having a plan that allows you comprehensive newborn coverage is the best way to ensure the safety and health of your child.

A comprehensive medical insurance plan will provide a number of benefits in addition to maternity coverage including options for dental, emergency evacuation, and out-patient treatment. In order to provide a policy we need to know your age, nationality, and the geographic area in which you would be requiring coverage.
