Question: Hi, My husband and I are in living in South Africa but will be moving to the USA in a few months. We would like an insurance policy we can use in South Africa for now and then in the USA when we move. Do you have any affordable policies that would accommodate our situation? Thank you.
Answer: Global health insurance plans will provide comprehensive coverage anywhere in the world. There are usually two areas of cover for a plan, worldwide and worldwide excluding North America.
Plans that will provide coverage in North America will usually be more expensive than those that do not. The reason for this is that medical costs in the USA are some of the most expensive in the world. However, because of this fact it is important that you take steps to protect yourself.
If a plan offers worldwide protection then they can be used anywhere in the world. This means that you can start the plan in South Africa and continue to use it in the USA with no lapse in coverage; if you leave the USA and return to South Africa, or move to a different country, a worldwide plan will continue to offer comprehensive cover.
Plans can be tailored to meet an individual’s specific requirements in terms of the coverage options. To join a plan before you leave South Africa or to learn more about global health insurance plans that provide coverage in the USA please contact one of our expert advisers.
Hi,
My mom will be coming from north africa to visit me in the USA and stay for acouple of weeks. Recently she has been having a heavy hand and legs feeling. She has been prescribed a medication that is usualy prescribed for patients with mild parkinson's.
I would like to get some second opinion and test(scans) performed on her in the USA. I don't think that she has parkinson's and I would like to confirn this in a center/hospital that I trust.
My mom has an inssurance coverage with mutuelle Maroc, which is a partner with SwissLife and AXA.
I wonder if she can get an international coverage with your company that will covers specialist evaluation, MRI, and oether scans if necessary.
Thank you
Hi,
We (Doanldson Europe BVBA in Belgium) are looking for a hosptal & medical insurance for one of our families (family van den Enden) we are relocating to Brockville, Canada. Up till now we haven't found an insurance compay willing to cover the pre-existing condition of Mrs. van den Enden which is bronchial asthma.
