Can you give me an overview of a plan?

Index of Questions

Question: Hi, I stay with my husband in Dubai. I need to take medical insurance for family. My questions are: 1. Is pregnancy covered under medical insurance? 2. If pregnancy is covered, then what is the waiting time to claim an insurance? 3. What is the insurance amount that we can claim in a year? 4. If we are planning to stay in UAE for 3 years. And say if we are taking insurance plan of AED 50000, so each year we may be paying insurance around AED 1500, so what happens to the insurance plan when we move out of UAE? If we claimed say 20000 in the first wo years, how do we pay back, how does it work?

Answer:

We can provide international health and medical insurance plans that are both globally portable and guaranteed renewable for life. Plans will always provide you with a number of coverage benefits including protection for maternity, out-patient treatment, specialist consultations, alternative medicines, traditional Chinese medicine, and emergency evacuation and repatriation coverage. As all the plans that we offer are globally portable you have the assurance that even if you leave the UAE and relocate to a new country, your plan will travel with you and continue to provide you and your loved ones with continuing coverage. We work with the worlds best international health insurance companies and because of this we are able to provide you with a number of options in regards to your plan. Plans will change between insurance companies, but we will always be able to find the coverage that is right for you.

Maternity coverage is an option with most international medical insurance plans. A maternity benefit will provide comprehensive protection throughout your pregnancy. It is important to note that all maternity plans will be attached to a waiting period in regards to the maternity benefit. This means that you cannot claim for any maternity treatment that you may have received prior to enrolling on the plan for a certain amount of time. Waiting periods for a maternity benefit will change with insurance companies; however typical waiting periods can be in between 10 to 12 months in duration. It is important to note that some waiting periods will specify a period of time until you can conceive while others will only be based on a certain time period.

In regards to claiming on an international health insurance plan; different insurance companies and different plans will have different overall maximum benefits (the total amount of coverage). It is important that you understand what limits your plan may have prior to enrolling on it. In-patient claims will normally be settled directly by the insurance company, this gives you the peace of mind that coverage is always there and you do not have to worry about the costs of your treatments while you are receiving them. Out-patient treatments will normally be paid by yourself and you will be reimbursed by the insurer at a later date if you have correctly filled out the claims forms and provided the necessary information (receipts, etc.); the only time when this will not be the case is in the event that you use a doctor or clinic that is part of the insurers direct settlement network.

The plans that we offer will always calculate their premiums based on the policyholders age and area of coverage (typically worldwide or worldwide excluding the USA). This means that you are never paying premiums based on your claims history; this gives you the assurance that you are never penalized for having claimed for necessary medical treatment and that your premiums will be exactly the same as everyone else in your age group. Insurance companies are extremely flexible when it comes to premium payment and will offer you a number of choices. You are able to pay for your premium in most major currencies, with a bank transfer, by cheque, or with a credit card (although there may be a surcharge for using this option), you also have the freedom to choose the frequency of your payments with options for Annual, semi annual, or monthly installments.

Our expert advisers can help you choose the plans that most suit your needs and give you access to a plethora of different coverage options. Because of our relationships with the major international health insurance companies we are in a unique position to cater to your specific requirements. By working with you at every stage of your plan, from the initial policy purchase, routine plan administration, submitting claims, and renewing, you are assured of having the support and help that you deserve. Hi, My mom will be coming from north africa to visit me in the USA and stay for acouple of weeks. Recently she has been having a heavy hand and legs feeling. She has been prescribed a medication that is usualy prescribed for patients with mild parkinson's. I would like to get some second opinion and test(scans) performed on her in the USA. I don't think that she has parkinson's and I would like to confirn this in a center/hospital that I trust. My mom has an inssurance coverage with mutuelle Maroc, which is a partner with SwissLife and AXA. I wonder if she can get an international coverage with your company that will covers specialist evaluation, MRI, and oether scans if necessary. Thank you
