Japan Medical Facilities

In the unfortunate event that you require medical treatment while in Japan, it may be important to know where to find a hospital with English-speaking staff. Medical emergencies are stressful enough as they are, without being unable to communicate with healthcare professionals furnishing you or your loved one with care. In general, hospitals in Japan have reception desks that are open 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Please call a broker if you have any further questions.

This is a list of hospitals in Japan that employ English speakers.

International Catholic Hospital (Seibo Byoin)
2-5-1 Naka-Ochiai, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 161-8521
Phone: (03) 3951-1111

Japanese Red Cross Medical Center (Nihon Sekijujisha Iryo Center)
4-1-22 Hiroo, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-8935
Phone: (03) 3400-1311

St. Luke's International Hospital (Seiroka Byoin)
9-1 Akashicho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104-8560
Phone: (03) 3541-5151

Tokyo Adventist Hospital (Tokyo Eisei Byoin)
3-17-3 Amanuma, Suginami-ku, Tokyo 167-0032
Phone: (03) 3392-6151

However, this list is not conclusive and many hospitals in Japan as well as smaller medical facilities and clinics will also have English speakers.

Hi, My mom will be coming from north africa to visit me in the USA and stay for acouple of weeks. Recently she has been having a heavy hand and legs feeling. She has been prescribed a medication that is usualy prescribed for patients with mild parkinson's. I would like to get some second opinion and test(scans) performed on her in the USA. I don't think that she has parkinson's and I would like to confirn this in a center/hospital that I trust. My mom has an inssurance coverage with mutuelle Maroc, which is a partner with SwissLife and AXA. I wonder if she can get an international coverage with your company that will covers specialist evaluation, MRI, and oether scans if necessary. Thank you
