Hi, My mom will be coming from north africa to visit me in the USA and stay for acouple of weeks. Recently she has been having a heavy hand and legs feeling. She has been prescribed a medication that is usualy prescribed for patients with mild parkinson's. I would like to get some second opinion and test(scans) performed on her in the USA. I don't think that she has parkinson's and I would like to confirn this in a center/hospital that I trust. My mom has an inssurance coverage with mutuelle Maroc, which is a partner with SwissLife and AXA. I wonder if she can get an international coverage with your company that will covers specialist evaluation, MRI, and oether scans if necessary. Thank you

Question: I live in Haiti and I'm actually pregnant. I would like to go to the US or to canada to give birth to my child. I lost one baby last year due to preeclempsia. Could you please give me a quote for an insurance that would cover delivery to the US or canada.

Answer: We can provide international health insurance maternity plans to individuals all over the world. Comprehensive maternity plans will provide you with coverage for the costs associated with a normal delivery and a delivery with complications, as well as pre and postnatal treatment. Plans that we can provide will offer you a number of additional benefit options and provide cover for dental, out-patient treatment, specialist consultations, and emergency evacuation. Maternity plans that we offer will usually provide a newborn coverage benefit to your child. This protection is important in the event that your child is born with any health problems or if they require medical care immediately after the birth.

Question: My uncle holds a Pakistani passport but is now living in the UK. However, he recently had an accident that will require a major surgery. I would, therefore, like to find out what exact pre-conditions can disqualify him to apply for a health/hospitalisation insurance.

Answer: We can provide a number of internatonal health and medical insurance plans that will offer you comprehensive in-patient coverage. It is important to bear in mind that many pre-existing conditions may be excluded form coverage. When looking at a policyholder with pre-existing conditions, insurance companies will decide to do one of three things. The first option for covering a pre-existing condition is with a moratorium; under this option the insurance company will place a waiting period of usually 24 months on the condition before covering it. If during this waiting period there are no symptoms displayed, or treatment sought for the condition, then it may be reconsidered for coverage

Question: I am a student in Canada. I got a health insurance from Sept 1,2006 to Aug 31,2007. I want to continue to Sept 31, because I'm going to leave for China. But they said I should pay for 4-month insurance. They are staff dealing this insurance in our university. The reason is this is campus. So, how do you feel about this thing? Thanks.

Answer: We can offer short term insurance plans no matter where you are located in the world. Short term medical insurance will usually be in the form of travel insurance, which will offer time specific coverage worldwide. Travel plans will offer you the same amount of comprehensive protection as annual plans; however, they are usually only viable for a few months and are not practical for long term medical coverage.
